I was born in Ohio and grew up in Deming, New Mexico. After graduation from Deming High school I went to University of North Texas in Denton, Texas where I eventually received my BFA degree in Drawing and Painting.
I taught art at a private high school for two years while I also studied music (violin) and played fiddle in country bands. I lived in the country near Denton and continued to paint, my art work was sold through galleries in Dallas. My paintings focused on Texas regional landscapes.
I later moved to Colorado to begin my studies in archaeology at Ft. Lewis College in Durango. I then came to Flagstaff for further studies and received my Master's degree in Anthropology/Archaeology. I continued painting through the years and my work was represented in galleries in Taos, New Mexico, Sedona, Scottsdale and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. My subject matter has remained regional landscapes wherever I have lived.
My archaeology work has been on the Kaibab NF, the Coconino NF, in the Grand Canyon and many years working on the Navajo Reservation through the Navajo Nation Archaeology Department.
I currently live in a rural area near Flagstaff where my time is spent painting, playing music and gardening.
