I grew up in an environment of making, first in a house that my parents built from scratch in the deep woods of Maine and later in Upstate NY. My father was a model maker and luthier, so there where always fine tools and tiny parts for me to ponder. I witnessed that ideas could become physical reality.
I moved to Tucson AZ in 1982, where I first fell in love with metal as medium at the local community college. I have been a self-employed metalsmith since 1992, continuing to develop my ideas and process through workshops and collaborations with other artists locally and internationally. Life is good.
